Middle Sea Race.
Malta. 606 miles.
The Rolex Middle Sea Race is one of the great offshore races in European sailing — 606 nautical miles around Sicily, from Malta and back. It runs in October, when the Mediterranean can be anything.
The race is the founding experience of Aventaras. The founding cohort gathers in Malta in October 2026 to watch the fleet leave and decide whether they want to be in it next year.

Five tracks
Five environments.
One purpose.
Each track uses a different mechanism to produce the same outcome. The environment changes. The friendship it creates does not.
Track 01
Maritime
The ocean removes hierarchy. The crew functions together — or it doesn't.
Offshore sailing — from gateway passages and race starts through to the world's great ocean races. No escaping the group. No filtering of who people actually are under fatigue and real consequence. The founding experience, the Middle Sea Race, is in this track.
Track 02
Mountain
Progress is measured in metres, not years. You cannot hurry a mountain.
Alpine traverses, high-altitude crossings, and expedition-style mountain routes. Physical progression over multiple days produces a form of earned trust that is durable precisely because it cannot be accelerated. From the Haute Route to Denali.
Track 03
Polar
At the edge of human capability, you find out who you actually are.
Arctic and Antarctic expeditions — from Svalbard gateway experiences through to the Greenland ice cap crossing and the South Georgia Shackleton route. Polar experiences are what members build toward. They are the horizon that makes everything else feel purposeful.

Social Immersive
Strip away the title, the biography, and the reputation. What remains?
Not all depth requires physical intensity. Private castle retreats, structured narrative scenarios, and designed environments that strip professional identity without requiring altitude or ocean. The most accessible track — and the natural entry point for many founding cohort members.
Track 05
Mission
We don't take people to places. We place them where they are needed.
Real access to systems that are normally closed — anti-poaching operations, Arctic research stations, mountain rescue units, desert navigation under constraint, rewilding projects. Earned entry. Genuine contribution. Something changes because you were there.
These are not corporate away days. They are not team-building exercises. They are not networking events with an outdoor theme.
Experiences are selected for people who do not need to be entertained and are not interested in comfort for its own sake. The expectation is full commitment. The format varies. The calibre of the people does not.
